Cleo hopes her stories offer comfort, hope, and encouragement to readers who see parts of their own journeys in her characters.

About The Book
Las Luchadoras follows the intertwined journeys of Esperanza and Fiona—two young Latina women shaped by different cultures, upbringings, and personal battles.
Esperanza, born in El Salvador and raised in rural Wyoming, has never quite felt at home in the United States. Fiona, born in Alabama to Colombian parents, longs to understand a heritage she’s never truly known. Both carry the weight of expectation, identity, and the pressure to succeed in spaces not built for them.
Their lives collide in the vibrant chaos of New York City, where they meet Alyssa, a new friend who quickly becomes part of their story. Together, the three navigate higher education, family responsibilities, friendship, and the subtle and not-so-subtle challenges of being young Latina women in America.
At its heart, Las Luchadoras is a story of resilience—of fighting for your dreams, your place in the world, and the truest version of yourself. It’s a celebration of culture, womanhood, ambition, and the unbreakable bonds that form when you finally meet people who see you for who you are.
